The Address Chidlom

Luxury condominium at the very center of one of the most expensive area in Bkk. Love the classic Bkk vibes. Nice pool and gym. Private place. Great security.

This the most expensive area of Bangkok but this condo is very good. The staff are very kind and it is near central Chidlom.Just a 5min walk to central Embassey and central Chidlom.

The Address Chidlom is a condominium project, developed by AP (Thailand), located at Soi Som Khit, Khwaeng Lumphini, Khet Pathum Wan, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10330. AP (Thailand) is also the developer behind Rhythm Sathorn, Life Ratchadapisek and Life Asoke. Construction of The Address Chidlom was completed in 2009

Visited this condo today. Didn't find any issues mentioned in some previous review. No construction noise - the area was quiet. No any smells from canals in the room. But the building definitely shows some signs of age, though not too obvious. Overall it looks luxury: spacious common spaces and apartments, high ceilings, lots of natural stone, art deco styling.

Old but reasonably good condo. Building noise from the previous location of the old British Embassy is a major problem and has been for over a year, it is NEVER peaceful and goes on for 12 hours per day. The swimming pool is large but is mostly covered with literally just one grubby sunbed that looks like it’s never been cleaned. Location is OK and there is a free shuttle throughout the day from 7am to 6:30pm that runs a circuit from to the BTS crossroads then to Central Chidlom and back. Traffic is an absolute PITA though as it’s always either jammed or super jammed! Often very hard to get a taxi as they try to avoid the area. Building is showing its age now and there are frequent plumbing related problems with the stink of sewage coming in to many rooms when the pumps in front of the building fail, the windows outside are also never cleaned, unlike The Park opposite where they are cleaned every 4-6 months. Strangely, the condo has nowhere to wash your own car or bike. You also need to be VERY careful which way your unit faces and / or where your windows will open too as there is the large canal / khlong that runs across the back of the condo and a smaller one that runs down the side. With the combination of the boats running up and down the big canal and the purge water valves being opened there is a very strong smell like raw sewage at numerous times of day and that smell will enter your unit through the windows or even the aircon. It’s ok, rooms are a good size, some better than others, but overall, for the money I think there’s better.
